I built MyRestoGarage because of a 1964 Pontiac Tempest.

My grandmother bought it new off the lot. It was her car — and years later, it became my first real project. As a teenager I tore into it, learned what I didn't know the hard way, and fell in love with the whole process. Then life happened, and the car sat. For thirty years, it waited in California — under a cover, holding all those memories.

In 2023, I shipped it to Washington. When the transporter pulled up and I saw it roll off the trailer, something clicked. All those years compressed into one moment. That car isn't just metal — it's a story that spans generations.

That's when I realized: every car person has a story like this. But there was nowhere to tell it. Social media is noise. Marketplaces are just listings. Forums are great but scattered. There wasn't a dedicated home for the story behind the build.
